Feature Overview
Overview of all StreamLayer interactive features and advertising units including ads, gamification, chat, stats, and more.
StreamLayer combines interactive advertising with real-time engagement features—all rendered inside the StreamLayer Element alongside or over live video. Every unit is optimized for both landscape and portrait formats on mobile, web, and CTV.
Advertising
-
Nonlinear Moment-Based Advertising — Dynamic ad units activated in real time by game events, broadcast markers (SCTE-35), ad server signals (VAST, SIMID), or time-based triggers. Formats include standard ads, shoppable ads, prediction ads, trivia ads, poll ads, insight ads, and CTV takeover units.
-
Feature Sponsorship — Attach brand sponsors to interactive features through interstitial ads, footer branding, and gamification sponsorship.
-
Pause Ads — Static interactive brand ads displayed when viewers pause live or on-demand content, available on CTV, mobile, tablet, and web.
-
In-App Notifications — Contextual alerts that serve as both engagement and advertising surfaces. Notifications can be sponsored (e.g., "Stats Insight by Microsoft"), attached to nonlinear ad units as Live Moment Notifications that add real-time context to sponsor creative, or delivered as standalone ad formats including video banner ads and lower-third ads.
