Troubleshooting
Resolve common Web SDK integration issues and runtime errors
Web Troubleshooting
Start with the first build error or SDK log message. Record the SDK version before changing dependencies or configuration.
Build or package installation fails
- Compare the installed package and toolchain with the Integration Guide for your integration.
- Check the package name, repository or registry configuration, and the first unresolved dependency in the build output.
- Keep the lockfile while investigating. Avoid deleting global caches or forcing unrelated dependency versions as a first step.
- After a targeted fix, rebuild and compare the result with the original error.
SDK UI or test content does not appear
- Complete initialization and authentication in the order specified by the Integration Guide.
- Confirm the SDK API Key and event belong to the intended organization and that test content has been activated for that event in StreamLayer Studio.
- Check the host view/container placement, dimensions, and the platform's player or layout callbacks.
- Read the first SDK/network error rather than repeatedly changing initialization code.
Use the feature-specific guides below to check the behavior you are implementing.
Check the React integration
The documented browser package is @streamlayer/react. Confirm that its styles are imported and SDK UI components are inside the app's StreamLayerProvider, as shown in the Integration Guide. Verify the host containers have the intended dimensions. Follow the authentication guide for credentials; do not substitute a different global SDK or player-adapter API.
Feature-specific checks
Authentication, UI context, and advertising cover the corresponding setup and host responsibilities.
Request support
Send [email protected] the SDK and toolchain versions, device/OS or browser, the first relevant error, reproduction steps, and expected versus actual behavior. Remove user tokens and other secrets from logs. Include a small reproduction when possible.
